THOTCON (pronounced \ˈthȯt\ and taken from THree - One - Two) is 
a small venue hacking conference based in Chicago IL, USA. This is a non-pr
ofit, non-commercial event looking to provide the best conference possible 
on a very limited budget. 

It was started as an idea in late 2009, by a group of local hackers who wan
ted to start a local low cost con. There have been two successful cons in 2
010 and 2011 with tickets selling out well before the conference date. 

Since Chicago has a great hacking and security scene in small pockets we wa
nted to get everyone together at a real conference where we don't have to t
ravel and spend a ton of money. 

This is a not-for-profit, non-commercial event looking to provide the best 
conference possible on a very limited budget. Any proceeds from the event a
re applied toward the next year's event with hope to be able to put on a be
tter con each year. 

THOTCON 0x3 will be held in Chicago, IL on Friday, April 27th, 2012.

The event will be limited to 20 talks and 500 attendees. 

It will be held at a location only to be disclosed to attendees and speaker
s during the week before the event.
